Strategies for Global and Regional Ports

With the financial support of the Division for Maritime Transport of the Dutch Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management, Policy Research Corporation NV has carried out a Caribbean SWOT analysis. Two sectors are examined: container shipping and cruising.

Included in the study is a comprehensive scan of the competitive position of thirteen major ports in the Caribbean region and the Colombian/Venezuelan sub-region with respect to the main container trade routes and cruise loops.
